šŸ„ Savoury Mushroom Gravy: A Perfect Companion for Your Dishes šŸ„

Ingredients:Ā 



  • 500gĀ mushrooms: Finely slicedĀ 

  • 2 tbsp unsalted butterĀ 

  • 2 tbsp olive oilĀ 

  • 1 onion: Finely choppedĀ 

  • 3 garlic cloves: MincedĀ 

  • 2 tbsp plain flourĀ 

  • 2 cups beef broth/stockĀ 

  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauceĀ 

  • 1 tsp soy sauceĀ 

  • Salt and pepper: To tasteĀ 

  • Optional: Fresh thyme or parsleyĀ 


Instructions:Ā 

  1. Prepare Mushrooms:

    Clean and slice/chop finely.Ā 

  1. Cook:Ā 

  • Heat butter and oil over medium-high heat.Ā 

  • Add onions, cook until soft (3-4 mins).Ā 

  • Add garlic, cook until fragrant (1 min).Ā 

  • Add mushrooms, cook until golden brown (8-10 mins).Ā 

  1. Make Roux: Sprinkle flour, cook for 1-2 mins.Ā 

  1. Add Broth: Pour in broth, stir to avoid lumps.Ā 

  • Add Worcestershire and soy sauce.Ā 

  1. Simmer: Simmer 5-10 mins until thickened. Adjust with broth if needed.Ā 

  1. Season: Add salt, pepper, and optional herbs.Ā 

  1. Serve: Over mashed potatoes, meats, veggies, or biscuits.Ā 


Tips:Ā 

  • Use mixed mushrooms for depth.Ā 

  • Adjust thickness with broth.Ā 

  • Store in fridge (3 days) or freezer (1 month)
